Overseas IV

Just a short note, so you don´t forget to check out the New York based Norwegian bass player Eivind Opsvik´s "Overseas IV" (Loyal Label 2012).
You get beat and style changes by the pound, and a fine mix of jazz, free jazz, prog and baroque (!?), all molded into a close to perfect whole.
Well, baroque might be stretching it a bit, but I promise you some great harpsichord playing here!

The previous releases in the "Overseas" series were released in 2008 (Loyal Label), 2004 (Fresh Sound) and 2002 (Fresh Sound).

The band is (these days):
Kenny Wollesen - drums, cymbals, timpani, vibraphone, marching machine
Jacob Sacks - harpsichord, farfisa organ, piano
Tony Malaby - saxophone
Brandon Seabrook - electric guitar, mandolin
Eivind Opsvik - bass
